Loved reading this article. It is right on the money with. All ten superfood mentioned are my absolute favorites. I will not leave home in the morning without my oatmeal. I grew up eating avocado with everything, from baked potato to bread. It used to be known as the poorman's butter. As a baker, I can't resist berries and nuts. And olive oil is a must have. Although I preferre white wine, a glass of red every now and then does help. Now, how hard can it be to eat and stay healthy, with all these wonderful and tasty choices? In addition, all of them are loaded with omaga-3 fatty acid, folate, and antioxidant. It is a win win situation. Eat great food, keep the heart healthy, keep blood pressure and cholesterol down. Great article!
ReplyDeleteI am a little uncertain about this article. I feel that it is another fad, because nutrition revolves around getting every aspect of the food, for example protein, fats, sodium etc. The thing that we don't know as consumers sometimes is that most foods need to be consumed in moderation.
ReplyDeleteThis article is very informative and I did not now that allot of these foods are considered super foods for women. The baked potato needs support for its constant bashings from atkins diet followers and other people who try to cut the carbs. Also I didn't know about avacado but I have heard of artichokes being a superfood, Ive heard of avacado containing chemicals that help peolpe sleep better also bananas. Also oatmeal was a superfood for women that I did not know about and I like how this article supports non main stream ideas and includes carbohydrates as being healthy and not the enemy. Olive oil and its omega oils is great for essential fatty acids and helps maintains functions such as joint lubrication like oil for the tinman.
